Forwarding and replying to email.
The bad way.

Who hasn't forwarded email? Now stop giving funny looks at the people who said "Not me." O.K. How many get or send email that stats out something like this?

Giving away personal info

That will happen when you use Cc:carbon copy to insert addresses. Many times the contact list is longer than that. After multiple forwards there may be more than one of those list. Besides causing the message to be extra long this causes another problem. Everyone who receives the message gets others addresses. If anyone in the group happens to be a mail spammer they are very happy. Also one friend may not want another on the list to have his or her address. Oops. This also applies to Re:reply and just sending email without Fwd:forward.

Cc and Bcc

Cc lets everyone who gets the message see the addresses. The way to avoid this is simple. Use Bcc:blind carbon copy instead. One thing to remember is you still have to put someone in the To: field. Everyone that receives the message will see that one. If you worry about whose address to use put in your own.

You can clean up a message that is being forwarded around before you send it on it's way. Point next to the start of the list then left click and drag the mouse to highlight the list then backspace to clear it. Be careful with this. In messages done in html the text may be in a table. You can wind up deleting the entire thing. Not all is lost though. You can reopen the message since it only cleared the page in the compose window not the original.
